Outpatient Detox Program
At Colorado Medication Assisted Recovery (CMAR), we provide Outpatient detox, a medically supervised program designed to help individuals safely detox from drugs or alcohol without the need for inpatient hospitalization.
Our outpatient detox program, offers a structured, compassionate, and flexible approach to withdrawal management, ensuring comfort and safety during the detox process.
What is Outpatient Detox / Withdrawal Management (OWM)?
Outpatient detox, also known as ambulatory detox, is a structured medical detox program that allows individuals to withdraw from substances while living at home or in a supportive environment.
Unlike inpatient detox, OWM provides medical supervision and support while maintaining flexibility in daily responsibilities.
CMAR’s OWM program includes medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medical monitoring, and therapeutic support to help ease withdrawal symptoms and prepare individuals for long-term recovery.
Key Features of Our OWM Program in Colorado
- Personalized Withdrawal Plans: Each client undergoes a comprehensive assessment to develop an individualized detox plan based on their substance use history, physical health, and psychological needs.
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): We utilize FDA-approved medications such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, and comfort medications to minimize withdrawal symptoms and cravings, making detox more manageable.
- Medical Supervision & Monitoring: Clients receive daily medical check-ins and ongoing assessments to ensure safety and comfort throughout the withdrawal process.
- Therapeutic Support & Counseling: We integrate individual therapy and group counseling into the withdrawal process, addressing underlying mental health conditions and addiction triggers.
- Flexible & Safe Withdrawal: Our outpatient setting allows individuals to detox with minimal disruption to their work, family, and daily responsibilities.
- Transition to Continued Care: After withdrawal management, clients can transition seamlessly into our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for continued recovery support.
- Dual Diagnosis Support: For individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions, our OWM program offers integrated treatment to support both addiction recovery and mental wellness.
- Family Education & Involvement: We provide family guidance and education to help loved ones understand withdrawal management and offer support throughout the detox process.

Who is Outpatient Withdrawal Management Best For?

- Need structured medical support but do not require 24/7 inpatient supervision.
- Are motivated to begin long-term addiction treatment following detox.
- Require medication-assisted detox for opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines, or other substances.

Your healing journey and new life starts now
Nothing would stand in my way of a drink. My actions revolved around minimizing consequences to decisions that would reap the best benefit of this disorder. This disease manipulates you and as a result, you manipulate everyone around you just to fulfill a falsely created ritual.
After spending another round in rehab, I started an intensive outpatient program at CMAR. I recently graduated and started in their regular outpatient program. I get to see a certified counselor every week in addition to fixed flexible courses. This place saved my life. I don’t take that lightly and I’m not exercising my freedom of speech just to say it. I mean it, CMAR’s professional staff and programs saved my life.
I just hit the 7 month mark of my sobriety. I’m happy, in every sense of the word, in a way that I haven’t been in many years. For anyone out there struggling, please recognize, I know exactly what you’re going through. I’m not unique in any way. I just decided that my life is worth living without substances.
I believe that taking your first step to accepting this truth is going to be the hardest. Please consider allowing CMAR to help you ground this decision. It’s the most important choice you’ll ever make. The road to recovery is not an easy one. The greatest part of all the difficulty is that we’re not alone. CMAR develops serious relationships with others through intense attributable work.
Since this is working for me, I have no doubt in my heart that it will work for you. Please take action because it’s already too late. For a lot of people, they never got to this realization. I hope to see you soon in one of the classes.
Peace and grace be with you,
Jeremiah White
