Medical Detox in Denver
Do I Need Medical Detox?
If you’re wondering whether it’s safe to quit alcohol, opioids, or benzos on your own, the answer might be more complicated than you think.
At Colorado Medication Assisted Recovery (CMAR), we offer medical detox in Denver through our Outpatient Withdrawal Management (OWM) program, a safe, supervised way to begin your recovery without hospitalization.
- Clinical evaluation to determine if detox is needed
- Home-based medical supervision
- FDA-approved medications to manage withdrawal
- Covered by most major insurance plans

We accept most major insurance plans and offer affordable cash-pay options.

What Is Medical Detox?
Medical detox is a supervised process that helps individuals safely withdraw from alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids, or other substances while minimizing health risks and discomfort.
Detoxing from these substances on your own can be dangerous, and in some cases, life-threatening. Medical detox provides the tools, structure, and medical oversight needed to begin recovery with the right level of care.
At CMAR, we offer outpatient medical detox, which means you can receive treatment from the safety of your home, while staying connected to medical professionals every step of the way.

Nothing would stand in my way of a drink. My actions revolved around minimizing consequences to decisions that would reap the best benefit of this disorder. This disease manipulates you and as a result, you manipulate everyone around you just to fulfill a falsely created ritual.
After spending another round in rehab, I started an intensive outpatient program at CMAR. I recently graduated and started in their regular outpatient program. I get to see a certified counselor every week in addition to fixed flexible courses. This place saved my life. I don't take that lightly and I'm not exercising my freedom of speech just to say it. I mean it, CMAR's professional staff and programs saved my life.
I just hit the 7 month mark of my sobriety. I'm happy, in every sense of the word, in a way that I haven't been in many years. For anyone out there struggling, please recognize, I know exactly what you're going through. I'm not unique in any way. I just decided that my life is worth living without substances.
I believe that taking your first step to accepting this truth is going to be the hardest. Please consider allowing CMAR to help you ground this decision. It's the most important choice you'll ever make. The road to recovery is not an easy one. The greatest part of all the difficulty is that we're not alone. CMAR develops serious relationships with others through intense attributable work.
Since this is working for me, I have no doubt in my heart that it will work for you. Please take action because it's already too late. For a lot of people, they never got to this realization. I hope to see you soon in one of the classes.
Peace and grace be with you,
Jeremiah White
