How CMAR Medication-Assisted Treatment Works

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) combines medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to provide a comprehensive approach to addiction treatment. Here’s how the process works:
Initial Appointment
- We will evaluate your requirements and identify your most suitable medication and treatment regimen during your initial appointment. We will arrange your first medication dose (induction) and organize your bi-weekly group therapy sessions. Any queries you may have will be addressed during this session.
Begin Medication-Assisted Treatment (Induction)
- When you arrive for your induction appointment, we want to ensure you feel comfortable and supported at every step. You will start by undergoing a urinalysis test and beginning your medication in a private, serene induction room. This process can take anywhere from 90 minutes to four hours, and our in-house pharmacy will ensure you have access to your medication as needed. After your induction, we will work with you to arrange personalized therapy sessions, medical check-ins, prescription refills, and other aspects of care to fit your schedule and support your long-term recovery.
Start Treatment
- After your initial assessment, you will have the opportunity to connect with our clinical team, undergo regular urinalysis tests, receive medical care, and participate in therapy and case management sessions. We also offer specialized mental health treatment in addition to addiction care. As you make progress, the weekly treatment hours will gradually decrease as long as you follow your medication regimen. You, your therapist, and your medical provider will decide the duration of your treatment.
Online Options
- In addition to our in-office treatment program, we also offer a virtual program offering identical services, such as screenings, assessments, and ongoing treatment. This alternative guarantees that you can access thorough care from the convenience of your home.

Nothing would stand in my way of a drink. My actions revolved around minimizing consequences to decisions that would reap the best benefit of this disorder. This disease manipulates you and as a result, you manipulate everyone around you just to fulfill a falsely created ritual.
After spending another round in rehab, I started an intensive outpatient program at CMAR. I recently graduated and started in their regular outpatient program. I get to see a certified counselor every week in addition to fixed flexible courses. This place saved my life. I don’t take that lightly and I’m not exercising my freedom of speech just to say it. I mean it, CMAR’s professional staff and programs saved my life.
I just hit the 7 month mark of my sobriety. I’m happy, in every sense of the word, in a way that I haven’t been in many years. For anyone out there struggling, please recognize, I know exactly what you’re going through. I’m not unique in any way. I just decided that my life is worth living without substances.
I believe that taking your first step to accepting this truth is going to be the hardest. Please consider allowing CMAR to help you ground this decision. It’s the most important choice you’ll ever make. The road to recovery is not an easy one. The greatest part of all the difficulty is that we’re not alone. CMAR develops serious relationships with others through intense attributable work.
Since this is working for me, I have no doubt in my heart that it will work for you. Please take action because it’s already too late. For a lot of people, they never got to this realization. I hope to see you soon in one of the classes.
Peace and grace be with you,
Jeremiah White
